I’ve finished most of Erik Larson’s books and I’m not sure where to go next. I’ve learned to trust him as an author, in that several of his books that sounded extremely boring still turned out to be very interesting (Dead Wake, Thunderstruck). I’m looking for new books/authors to fill the void. I also like that they all tend to follow a handful of characters rather than reading like a textbook. Thank you!

Killers of the Flower Moon was good. I also like Larson and have read several of his books. Currently sitting on Thunderstruck and trying to start it. I know he’ll make it good but it seems so boring at first.
Love him, check out Benjamin Labatut, Carlo Rovelli, Cliff Stoll’s The cuckoos egg, The Feather Thief by KW Johnson, Jimmy the King by Garcia-Roberts, Annie Jacobsen.
