Maybe try the “before the coffee gets cold” series! They can be a bit sad but very lighthearted:)
Interesting that you think Lessons in Chemistry and Man called Ove are light reads, I found them to be quite heavy and emotional.
That being said I think you’d enjoy Glorious Exploits by Ferdia Lennon. I found it to be heavy but definitely runs similarly to the other ones you suggested
