Book recommendations

I’ve recently become really interested in world history timelines, especially how events from different countries overlap. For example, Cleopatra lived closer to the invention of the iPhone than to the building of the pyramids, which is kind of mind-blowing.
I also want to explore lesser-known historical events that aren’t always covered in textbooks, like war crimes or hidden chapters of history.
Does anyone have book recommendations that show global events happening simultaneously?
I’m also very interested in myths, folklore, and legends from all kind of country and culture.
