Just as the title says I am a chronic and obsessive worrier. I’ve done all the therapy and medications and meditations but am looking for books that may help give me perspective or ease my mind for a bit. Reading is one thing that brings me comfort. Not necessarily self help books unless there are some that you really feel made a difference for you. I’m thinking more novels that help those feelings of fear of the unknown. I’m a mom and my biggest concerns are my kids health and safety so nothing with child loss please.

If you want to learn to embrace the unknown i would recommend:
Annihilation (Southern Reach series)
I Who Have Never Known Men
Sea of Tranquility is a beautiful book that I think could help. It does feature themes of death (global pandemic) but nothing related to child loss if I’m recalling correctly.
Also second Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine if you’re looking to read about an anxious character.
I know you said you aren’t looking for self help. But the subtle art of not giving a fuck really helped me with this.
I like to read murderbot when I feel like this because it makes me feel more normal.
Monk and robot is a good chill book to just make you feel better
