Books that will teach me new things when I read them

I'm not someone who reads a lot of books. When I do read, I look for book recommendations that will teach me new things. For example, I recently read Thomas Erikson's Surrounded by Idiots and Surrounded by Psychopaths. I enjoy reading books on topics such as human psychology, personality analysis, and manipulation. I'm looking for book recommendations on these topics. However, I don't want to get bored while reading, and the language shouldn't be too heavy. Thanks in advance.
