I prefer nature based stories rather than urban settings. The book that is inspiring this request is Becoming Leidah by Michelle Grierson which I really enjoy. **The Buried Giant** by Kazuo Ishiguro. A couple in Arthurian England goes on a journey to find their son. The land is shrouded in a mist that makes them forget much of their past and the journey is also them slowly recovering some of their memories.
**Piranesi** by Susanna Clarke. A man journals his experience of exploring and forming a life in a strange, labyrinthine House alone. Another book that explores memory and identity.
