A couple who have a meet cute at first, they learn about their ideological/religious/national divide, which tears them apart, but eventually they overcome it and fall in love. This divide could be Protestant vs Catholic, revolutionary vs royalist, German vs allied (for historical fictions); could be as recent and relevant case, woke vs MAGA, could be as simple as a brainwashed cultist or radicalized activist vs a lonely heart who just seeks love, or could be a head in the clouds dreamer vs a down to earth hustler.
In my experience this works in two possible ways: one is brainwashed in an isolated cult like environment, the encounter exposes them to the outside world, they take a leap of faith to explore, then they realize they're seriously misled and screwed, then they repent and find redemption through love; a softer, less painful situation is kind of like Pride and Prejudice based on misunderstanding, both sides choose to learn and appreciate the other, and they eventually reach a compromise. For example, the dreamer has to make a living, and the hustler comes to admire the dreamer's art.
