Trying to branch out from horror and fantasy! These past few months all I have been reading is fantasy and occasionally a horror book! I personally don't like slow books! For example, I didn't enjoy Piranessi, Exorcist, Rosemary's Baby, Jane Austin ( T_T i really wanted to like her too ) and the Alchemist
My favorite genre is fantasy because it takes me out of my reality lol! 2 fav books are : Sword of Kaigen by ML Wang, Red Rising (about to start 2nd book), and Game of Thrones series!
2nd fav genre is horror
I really liked Tender is the flesh (interesting and fucked up) , Boys in the Valley,
And the troop!
I really like fiction and historical fiction too it's just been a while
! I loved Nightengale, Kiterunner, Kafka on the Shore, perks of being a wallflower, and under the whispering door

Totally get the struggle with slower books, sometimes you just need something that hooks you immediately. if you liked red rising and tender is the flesh, you should definitely check out Dark Matter by Blake Brouch or Project Hail mary by andy weir. they both have that breakneck pace where you just have to know what happens next. I tried reading Emma recently and i think i fell asleep three times before page fifty, so i definitely need that “can’t put it down” energy too lol.
