I'm interested in novels where people get pulled into something bigger than themselves, cults, secret societies, political movements, or just shared madness. The psychology of belief, the moment when someone crosses from skeptic to true believer.

Can be fiction or something that reads like fiction. Historical or contemporary. I just want to understand how people get lost together.
