Hello! I (26F) am a big reader, and my husband (27M) wants to get into reading. He listens to audiobooks or when I read to him, but we think he has some undiagnosed ADHD or dyslexia because he really struggles to focus on a physical book by himself. He wants to get better at it, so that’s why I am here. I need a mature, thought provoking plots that is also easy to read.
In other media, he really enjoys War Stories (Band of Brothers, Masters of the Air), Mythology stories (Epic the Musical, God of War games, he loves Norse mythology), psychological thrillers (Get Out, The Mist, shutter island) as well as other classics people love (Star Wars, Marvel & DC, Lord of The Rings). But he doesn’t shy away from a romance or comedy if it’s done well. I am more into romances, fantasy, historical fiction, mysteries, and classics, so I can only recommend so much that I think he’ll actually enjoy lol.
Some books he liked (via audio book or me reading to him):
-
Mistborn Series (original 3)
-
Lord of the Rings Series + The Hobbit
-
Various Hercule Poirots
-
Caraval Series
-
Once Upon a Broken Heart Series
What are some books you would recommend for him?
