Can you recommend me a book, that'd blow my mind. Book that's not easy to follow, with heavy plot and romance (most preferably mm) should not overshadow the main plot. I don't care even if it's MM, as long as the plot is mind-blowing.
Romance is just not my cup of tea.
I don't care about the happy ending, as long the ending feels appropriate. I also don't mind various flags, I'm not sensitive to dark themes.
I don't like OP MCs, I also don't like damsel in distress MCs. I prefer the balance. I don't like cheating or poly relationship (of MCs).
I prefer side characters who aren't two-dimensional, cannon fodder villains are just a no-no.
I'm not a first time reader, I read a lot. So, it's really hard for me to get impressed.
