I am struggling to find new books that I would love: I love all things sci-fi, but I am somewhat a scientist myself (particle physics) so… bad science in fiction makes me really sad. I accept the world rules, even if they are not corresponding with real physics, but rules should be good. I loved Blindsight, Martian, Hail Mary, Children of Time, three body problem.
books like six wakes, delta-v were okay, but not amazing for me.
If we talk about classical old sci-fi, like Asimov, Bradbury, etc. I think Ive done most of it.
Can someone give me something amazing to read?

The Mars series by Kim Stanley Robinson (Red Mars, Green Mars, Blue Mars). They were written in the 90s so some of the science is out of date now but overall holds up
Sphere by Michael Chrichton.
Contact by Carl Sagan.
Both had me interested from (at the latest) second chapter. Both are a little older, but they’re extremely well-written, and Sagan is a well-known and well-decorated astronomer, so he absolutely had the base knowledge to write what he did.
Most Michael Chrichton books are solid hits. I’m reading another one that I just started today and it’s already got me hooked, called Micro.
