I’m having the holiday restlessness of traveling/cooking/etc so my mind is not as open to slow or difficult narratives as usual. I’m looking for something that will wholeheartedly consume me without FULLY tearing apart my emotions – very down for \~medium\~ emotional wreckage. Ideally something that is still very well written, poetic, and/or acclaimed despite how easy it is to read. (no short stories or non-fic plz).

**Books I’ve already read that fit this category:**
Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow – Gabrielle Zevin
Yellowface – RF Kuang (maybe Babel too but was maybe slightly tooooo complicated/dense).
Writers and Lovers – Lily King
Song of Achillies – Gabrielle Zevin
Daughter of the Moon Goddess – Sue Lynn Tan

I think these are books with a strong plot and very very strong visual/descriptive writing. Thank you in advance for any suggestions!!!
