Hi everyone, I'm ashamed to say this but I've never actually read a whole book. However, I have made it my goal to actually read one. I was hoping someone can recommend books with cyberpunk/steampunk/futuristic settings. Something not too hard to read and also quite fast paced.

Neuromancer by William Gibson
The Water Knife by Paolo Bacigalupi
Crashcourse by Wilhelmina Baird
Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. It’s an “accessible” read, in that it’s not too heavy handed in its own lore, and is easy to get into. It’s funny and stupid (in a good way), but is also cool as hell.
Edit: Also, to clarify, it’s cyberpunk. Someone else suggested Nueromancer by William Gibson which is also great. But I just think Snow Crash is an easier entry point.
Altered Carbon by Richard K. Morgan
neuromancer by william gibson is literally the cyberpunk book that started it all and its actually pretty easy to get into once you get past the first few pages.
