Around Christmas I read The Gathering by C. J. Tudor and I enjoyed it so much. I can't stop thinking about it. I loved how the supernatural factor was incorporated into the world of the book. Would you please recommend me some similar books? (Doesn't have to be specifically about vampires, but supernatural preferably) Thank you sm in advance 🙂

    1. **The Hollows** Series by **Kim Harrison** might fit the bill. Often compared to the Stephanie Plumb and Anita Blake series but with magic, witches, vampires, werewolves, and a liberal dose of pixies. Bascially urban fantasy like Jim Butcher’s The Dresden files but with female MC’s.

The 2 MC’s are female PI’s who formerly worked for the Cincinnati police department in their supernatural division. they “leave” the department and start their own PI firm investigating the paranormals in the city. 14 main books and a couple of in between book stories in the series so quite a bit of material if you like the first book. Bok 1 is titled **Dead Witch Walking**.This series is complete as far as I know.

There is, of course **Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files**. The first 2 books in his series were literally the first books he had published and you can see that in the writing and editing (its a bit rough tbh, but lots of fun when it first came out so it hooked me). the series gets much better in book 3 and on to around book 12. Book 18 was just released about a month ago so he is still writing the series.

If you like a British Flair, the series **Kings Watch by Mark Hayden** has been very enjoyable to read again urban fantasy but everyhting centers on England. the Audio book is really great with narration by Ciaran Sawsard. The perfect accents for the characters. still writing new books and I think there will be a handfull more over the next few years. Currently at book 12 with 13 due out this spring iirc.
