My kid is having surgery tomorrow (nothing serious thankfully) and I need something light, something that will hopefully make me laugh and keep my mind occupied so I’m not stressing and worrying. I’m open to all genres.
Thanks in advance!

All of Samantha Irby’s books are hilarious and mostly light — there are some more serious topics (mental health, etc.) but they’re handled in a way that’s not heavy
The Sideways Life of Denny Voss by Holly Kennedy (good audiobook as well). A light, intentionally (and unintentionally) humorous murder mystery.
Lamb by Christopher Moore (more satire/witty humor). Jesus’s story, as told by his childhood bff Biff.
Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice to Murderers by Jesse Q Sutanto.
Things My Son Needs to Know about the World by Fredrick Backman
Oh I’m sorry I thought it was an audio drama esque channel
Emma m lion is delightful
Man at the Helm by Nina Stibbe.
Andy Stanton – You’re a Bad Man, Mr Gum! Read it to your kid and you both will feel better.
