I recently went through Demon King by Erik Henry Vick and realized it’s been a while since I’ve been that terrified reading a book. Pet Sematary had been one of the main few to get under my skin. During Demon King I found myself terrified to walk past my living room windows at night. I was hoping for other recommendations involving adults reminiscing about evil in their childhood or returning to face it in their hometown. I appreciate all horror recommendations of course, but that book has been sticking with me.
