This might be kind of specific, but I’m eager to learn about this, so I figured I’d post and just see.
I’m looking for a book, or books, on or involving Afro-Italian (or Afro-Spanish, as I know black Africans contributed to Spain quite a bit) history. For example, in Sicily, during the Renaissance, etcetera.
Bonus points if it’s written by an author who is Afro-Italian or of black African descent at all, but if not, just somebody who really knows a lot about this subject and is respectful of the groups of people they’re writing about.
Would prefer it be in-depth (if not comprehensive, just not only basic information), nonfiction, but I wouldn’t mind historical fiction.

This is cool! I don’t have any recs but my family is Sardinian and there is a lot of North African DNA represented in Sardinians bc of the close proximity, and migration history. Maybe look that way in your search. Good luck !
