Hello, I am a guy in his mid thirties from England, I have always enjoyed reading since a kid but I never dedicated enough of my free time to reading to make my way through enough books for my liking. Well that seems to have changed and I am reading non stop and flying through books currently. My favourite books in recent memory have been:
Pachinko – Min Jee Lee
Pillars of the earth – Ken Follett
The remains of the day – Kazuo Ishiguro
James – Percival Everett
Slaughterhouse 5 – Kurt Vonnegut
I am now looking for further recommendations to continue this progression I am making and work my way through more great books. I am currently planning to go to the book shop on my lunch break to get my next read and looking for recommendations of what I should try based on my previous reads. Open to anything but would probably prefer not to have a 1000+ page book just now as feel it may slow down my motivation and progress, but then again Pillars of the Earth was fantastic , so by no means a rule! Thanks in advance and look forward to seeing your recommendations!
