It’s been more than a decade since I last read a book. Back then, I remember loving anything related to history whether it was historical events, historical fiction, or stories set in the past.
Over the years I stopped reading, and I no longer have any of the physical books I used to own. Recently though, I’ve been thinking about getting back into it.
What books would you recommend for someone trying to fall in love with reading again? I’m especially open to history related books, but honestly I’m willing to try anything that’s engaging.
It also doesn’t matter if it’s something I might have read before I’ve probably forgotten most of them by now anyway.

If you want really good historical fiction/murder mysteries, check out **C.S. Harris** and **Deanna Raybourn.** I’m obsessed with both of them.
