Currently working my way through other recs I got on this subreddit, but I need help again while I wait for my holds to come up in the library.

I want to write a murder mystery, and I would love to see what y'all think are the most technically impressive murder mysteries out there. (Currently working my way through Agatha Christie) I'm really focused on murder mystery specific skills here, so things with strong endings where you walked away feeling really rewarded for reading are perfect. (And I'd love to hear whether you felt rewarded because you were right, or because you were so satisfyingly wrong)

Feel free to recommend a range! Christie is great at that "compare all the timelines and alibis" sort of mystery, but I think there's a lot of ways a mystery can be rewarding! I'm as open to "howproveits" as "whodunits"
