Suggest me a immersive read

I have been reading too many depressing novels as of last few months so kindly suggest me a more depressing one

I am not really a big fan of romance as a genre and few of my fav books are flowers for algernon, steppen wolf and thousand splendid suns

i can read classical literature, fantasy and horror/psychological horror and thats all
