I was listening to a conversation about how everyone should have a day book and a night book. I’ve found this concept very interesting and started doing it last month, but threw in another: down book.
Day book: a book you can read during your day to day routine. For example, I like to read my day book while I’m on my stationary bike. It distracts me from how long I’m working out, but can glance away if needed. Usually it’s a thriller. (Current read: on a quiet street)
Down book: A book you can really enjoy when you find yourself with some decent downtime. One that is engaging, but you can pick it up later and not feel like you forgot everything that was going on if there’s a gap between sessions. (Current read: The Vacation)
Night book: a book you can use to wind down your day before falling asleep. Something comforting, but doesn’t keep you on the edge of your seat where you end up staying up too late to see what happens next. (Current read: Model Home)
What books would you suggest to fall into these assignments?
