Looking for well written thrillers

I used to be a huge thriller fan but when I got back into reading a few years ago every time I pick up a popular thriller the writing has just been mediocre in my opinion, even if it's entertaining for the time being. It doesn't necessarily have to read like literary fiction or have flowery prose but I just want a thriller with some interesting character development and that maybe hits some hard hitting themes. Please help a girl out 🙏
