I am looking for a story that involves a female protagonist that is an avoidant who ends up falling in love. Not a cheap booktok romance, I mean a real, slow burn, devoted romance that involves how the protagonist dealt with her avoidant attachment style. And most importantly, the male love interest that is patient and noninvasive. And for the record, spice is not necessary.
Can you tell I’m on a mission? I’d appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Just Some Stupid Love Story by Katelyn Doyle fits this. The fmc and mmc were high school sweethearts and reconnect at their 15 year reunion. The story takes place over the next 5 years. The fmc doesnt believe in soulmates and the mmc wants kids and a wife and believes in soulmates.
I’ve read so many romantic comedy books and he’s probably one of the sweetest mmc I’ve ever read.
