im so tired of reading books that claim to be slowburn romances yet the whole time they're like "oh i hate him, but hes so hot" like im sorry but thats not what a slowburn is. i want it to be a REAL slowburn romance, one that lingers over years, and even the slightest bit of affection, touch, or care leaves butterflies in the reader's stomach.
plus points if the book has a brother's bestfriend, or forced proximity subplot, or where one person just leaves or disappears for years without any information making the other person yearn.
so in short, slowburn enemies to lovers, maybe a brother's bestfriend or forced proximity subplot, and a lot of yearning, grovelling, and betrayals.
