Looking for an essay collection that is engaging and easy to pick up and put down while travelling. Open to any topics, just want something interesting! I usually gravitate towards books about social issues, but also open to essays on pop culture, science or economics.

Odd Jobs by John Updike is a favorite of mine.
Updike is not much read these days, I think but I’ve always loved both his novels and his non-fiction.
