I'm open to some different ideas but fiction is easiest for me to read. Recent books that made me cry:
The Invisible Life of Addie LeRue
The Hunger Games trilogy
Where The Crawdads Sing
Every Summer After
Deep Cuts
I want to cry but just because I'm feeling emotions and not because a book used death to pull at my heartstrings, if that makes sense. I want to feel things but I don't want the feeling to be grief (I've had enough of that).
Preferably a contemporary book. Subjects that I don't want to read: war, historical fiction, anything with CSA, SA
