I’m looking for some book recs that are romance and contemporary lit fic.
Here are my requirements:
– I definitely do not want any romantasy, YA, sci-fi, etc. I like pure contemporary lit fic so would just want like to stick with that.
– I read quite a lot so please recommend something unique + a bit more unknown! Please no Emily Henry, The Song of Achilles, Coco Mellors, Sally Rooney, etc.
– I want something that’s well written! I don’t want the writing quality or plot line to be at the detriment of the romance/relationship development.
– Something that’s yearning heavy. Not looking for any specific buzzwords eg. spice, enemies to lovers, etc etc haha. Just a well developed romance with tension and yearning.
– something that’s generally pretty happy and uncomplicated. I just finished heated rivalry and really liked how it was just ultimately a good love story.
– Fleshed out characters.
Here are a few books that I’ve enjoyed:
Book Lovers; Writers and Lovers; Heart the Lover; Cleopatra and Frankenstein; Madonna in a Fur Coat; anything Sally Rooney; Exciting times.
