I'll start, I really love the Chronicles of Narnia, it's the childhood emotional connection for me, and objectively I have read better books since. But I can still conjure the feeling of being immersed in another world for the first time, and this is the series that made me fall in love with reading. What are yours and why do you like them over the other books you have read?

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children! I have all of the books and I adore them. I’ve always loved historical fiction, time travel and time loops so this book series was just perfect for me. It’s also seriously dark and morbid for a children’s series but that’s always been exactly up my alley. I didn’t want cutesy fluffy fantasy books for kids, I wanted grim depictions of war, cannibalism, violence and broken families.
Also the pictures included are dope as hell
Completed is Wheel of Time. It definitely takes its time to get there, but in the back third characters really emerge and stuff really starts coming together.
It’s only halfway through, but The Stormlight Archive is the same/higher tier for me. The individual books are each awesome, and the bigger picture world building is even better. Two of my favorite characters ever are Shallan Davar in Stormlight and Egwene al’Vere in WOT.
