Romance Horror novels?

Hi!

I’ve been wondering about any novels that balance both romance and horror? And are truly well written and a little spooky, aka not Twilight haha.

I’ve read some Anne Rice, my mom adores her, but also want to find these themes in another author.

I love horror so can handle anything gruesome. Just not sure where to start and would love any recommendations!!
