While browsing Instagram I came across a post that said
“In 100 years, so in 2126, we will all be buried with our families and friends.
Strangers will live in your house. Most of your possessions will have been destroyed or given away.
In 200 years, in 2226, You are a name mentioned once a year by people you've never met.
The shape of your face has been forgotten. The sound of your voice is gone completely.
In 300 years, there is no trace you were ever here. Not your achievements. Not your embarrassments. Nothing.
But the good thing about being forgotten… is realizing you were free this entire time.”
I don’t know why but this quote has stuck with me ever since I saw it. I was wondering if anyone had any book recommendations that are within this realm of philosophy.
