In a lot of media, I see people talk about how chill stories and comedies often don't get oscars, whereas something that veers into heavier emotions and high concepts lodge themselves in the consciousness.
It presents a scenario where heavy stories are the exquisite dining, bit "nice" stories are merely a pack of chips. Easily consumed, then forgotten.
I'd like someone to recommend stories that go against this. A story that put you in a chipper place, and yet managed to impact you as mightily as any darker, "sophisticated" stories ever have. Perhaps it has some special sauce, like it veers into some poignancy or a moment of sadness, and yet ends with triumph?

Anne of Green Gables. (Yes, I know there are grief themes. But it is hardly a dark or downer book.)
