Need a good beach read

I want a not too complex/heavy book to read on the beach for spring break. I'm 37M so googling beach read gets me a loooot of women focused lists.(Which I sometimes like but looking for more variety). Looking for more men focused books I get the Jack Reachers amd Alex Crosses of the world and I want some new original stories I like authors like Stephen King, Blake Crouch, Ruth Ware. I enjoyed The The Name of the Wind but usually don't get too into Fantasy. Love The Secret History but haven't found anything similar. Also interested in expanding my horizons beyond Heated Rivalry for LGBTQ lit haha. Are there more books like House in the Cerulean where there is a happy LGBTQ story but it's not solely romance?
