I want a book about a lesbian (or any type of queer, as long it's largely schewing towards women). It doesn't have to be a romance (would prefer it not be) and just a lot of angst. A compelling plot would be appreciated, but not a required.

I thought two lesbian fics were very angsty and very good: Matricide, and The House of Real Love, both by Carla Tomaso. The second one is probably better. There’s a love story attached to the second one, too, but I don’t think it’s the heart of the story. Just very, very memorable, both of them.
