Any recommendations for a middle-aged man who wants to get healthy?
56M and not in good shape. Weak muscles, low energy, chronic pain, chronic illnes. Want to reverse that and looking at all avenues. Exercise, diet, supplement, mental health. Anyone have some good guides to help me get there? Thanks.
Unbroken. It is a WWII true story involving the Olympics and survival. It seems like an off the board recommendation but the main character is a runner. That part motivated me to start running. The part about survival shows how strong the human mind and will is. That part motivated me to keep going.

Get outdoors and walk, even a little bit, every day with maybe one day a week off.
Stretch. Learn some basic and gentle stretches and as you begin to loosen up, add more stretches.
Balance. Stand on one foot for 15 seconds, then switch. Stand on both feet, eyes closed, for 20 seconds. Regain that youthful sense of balance.
Don’t try to make up for lost time and injure yourself. If you do that, it’s all over. So when you push yourself, push gently. Take your time.
