A book with a similar vibe to the film « The Fifth Element »
I’ve been feeling super nostalgic lately and i love that movie. Does anyone know of any books that would give that similar feel, of a futuristic setting but in a sort of clunky way, kind of camp but also full of heart ?
Any number of Heavy Metal/Metal hurlant comics. Especially the ones by Moebius. The Fifth Element is basically a pastiche of those comics.
Folkwench on
Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman has the most dumb, ridiculous sounding plot of any book I’ve read in the last few years. Its also hilarious, gross, addictive, heartbreaking, rebelious and hopeful. The characters grab you by the feels and pull you in to the chaos. And the audio books narrator is a vocal magician.
