Is the textbook dead? Inside Ontario schools’ shift to digital — and the hidden trade-offs of paper-free classrooms

Paywall, but I’m curious what they say the payoffs are. Haven’t there been multiple studies done over the last ten years or so that prove kids learn better from books than from screens? Feels odd to me that there are places that would only now be switching to digital when that kind of info is available.
