I've just finished reading A Short Stay in Hell by Stephen L Peck and I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman, both absolutely brilliant! They're a little bit more "adult" and serious than what I usually read, and I'd like to read more like them!
In the past I've enjoyed The Midnight Library by Matt Haig, They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera and the usual dystopia stuff (Hunger Games, Divergent etc).
Has anyone got any ideas of something else I might like? Please send suggestions!

Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler
The Wall by Marlen Haushofer
Library at Mount Char comes to mind! If you enjoy science a lot, nothing beats Project Hail Mary for me
not dystopia, but Not Quite Dead Yet also fits vibe
The Memory Police, by Yoko Ogawa
Margaret Atwood. The Maddaddam Trilogy. The Heart Goes Last. And others.
W.Rice. Moon of the Crusted Snow. Moon of the Turning Leaves.
“Land of Milk and Honey” by C Pam Zhang was one of my favorite reads of 2024. It’s a near-future dystopian.
“Girlfriend on Mars” is also a great read. Not as dystopian but “billionaire does dumb things.”
How High We Go In the Dark by Sequoia Nagamatsu
Chain-Gang All-Stars by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah
Private Rites by Julia Armfield
