Kithamar trilogy by Daniel Abraham. Sadly not well publicised. First book is Age of Ash. Then Blade of Dream, and finally Judge of Worlds is out this October.
And no, it’s not a usual timeline style of trilogy, events do not move forward in time with each book. But as the POV shifts to different people we learn more each time about the same event.
