Hi everyone,
I grew up in a very traditional Catholic environment in Brazil and spent part of my teenage years studying in a seminary while preparing for the priesthood.
At the time I was still trying to understand my sexuality, which made that experience extremely confusing and isolating.
Years later I ended up writing a memoir about that period of my life, and it made me curious about other books that explore similar experiences.
Do you know any memoirs about growing up queer in strict religious environments or dealing with religious trauma?
I’d love to read more stories like that.
