Books that see the world as one connected chain of people and events

Just finished Cat's Cradle and loved the concept of the Karass from Bokononism. Loved the connected vibe of it all. Any more books that don't have one superhero character but instead treat everybody in the world as a contributor to the great big show we call life? I would probably really enjoy books with a butterfly effect theme too.
