These are things I've struggled with for most of my life as a 29yo audhd(only recently diagnosed) man, things that I struggle with almost on a daily basis and am trying to work through in therapy. More specifically, things relating to my lack of stereotypical "masculine" traits, and comparing myself to others in relation to societal expectations and norms for a person my age(having a family and kids, career, etc).
I haven't read many books, but in terms of tone/genre of movies and games I like, I gravitate more toward dark, abstract/experimental stuff, and I enjoy themes of philosophy and psychology and theology. Some of my favorite fiction includes the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, The Lighthouse by Robert Eggers, the game Pathologic 2, 1984 by George Orwell, Midnight Mass by Mike Flanagan, and the game Pentiment.
I'm more looking for fiction, not self-help type stuff.
