I'm looking for a book or series that is darkly whimsical in the sense of it being charming and cute with some sinister and scary themes…humor would be a nice touch. Something like the main character befriends the monster under the bed, or Mr. & Mrs. Smith but with cosmic horror, or 'I love my girlfriend even though she needs to eat human flesh to survive and now we've got issues'. I don't know…I can't imagine there's not at least one book out there…
I'm not too picky on genre but please NO serial killers. I'm okay with dark romance but I'm very critical about it. I'd prefer it be for young adults to adults, so no children's books please? Indie is acceptable.
I'm not sure what else I should include but I would be happy to answer questions if the need arises.
