Hello! I’m a librarian working at a middle school library and I’ve encountered a bit of an issue. We have a pretty big PI student population, but no matter how hard we try, we cant seem to find many age-appropriate books that represent their identities.
We have Dragonfruit by Malia Mattoch McManus and Mortal Fire by Elizabeth Knox, but most of what I find is either Native Hawaiian or not appropriate for our students. I’m hoping someone here might have some other books that slipped under the radar.
Length and genre are no issue, they just need to be appropriate for children ages 11-14 or so. Any help is appreciated, thank you so much!!
