I am looking for a book of Celtic mythology, but I have a few criteria. I already have a book that I found in a used bookstore, but it is more of a scholarly treatment and rather dry. I also do not want a coffee table book that gives 1 or 2 page snippets on each topic. I have one of those too. I want an easy to read book of stories. It is fine if it includes some historical exposition as well as long as plenty of attention is given to the myths.

The Sevenwaters trilogy by Juliet Marillier, maybe Silverhand by Morgan Llewelyn. She does a lot of Celtic historical fiction, and non-fiction, too. The Iron Druid series is fantastic. The main character is Celtic, but the pantheons of gods show up. Celtic Spirituality by Philip Freeman and Celtic Myths and Legends (All About Myths) would be my first picks, The Mabinogion is one of the core sources of Celtic myth, including strange, magical, sometimes dark stories that are in my thoughts
