I loved Rebecca, White Oleander, and Garden Spells. These three books all gave me the same feeling — like falling into another world through the writing itself. I’m looking for books that have:
∙ Lyrical, sensory prose you want to slow down and savor
∙ A strong sense of nature — gardens, forests, seasons, landscape you can really feel
∙ A dreamy, ethereal quality — like the natural world feels alive and a little magical
∙ Emotional depth that lingers
∙ Vivid, interesting characters — especially women”
The vibe: Lush · Dreamy · Nature-soaked
Good clarifier:
Doesn’t have to be fantasy or dark — magical realism, literary fiction, and romance all welcome. Genre matters less than the feeling. Think: books where nature isn’t just the backdrop, it’s almost a character itself. Or anything you think I’d enjoy.

Psalm for the Wild Built
The Scorpio Races is technically YA, but I think you’d enjoy it! One of my all-time favorites.
A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki has quite a bit of what you’re looking for. You could also try Burial Rites by Hannah Kent.
