Hi, everyone. I love narrative nonfiction, but I’m going through a tough time in my life and the books I tend to like (examples below) are often quite heavy. I’m looking for book suggestions that are thoughtful and engaging but not severely upsetting.
Some of my favorites are:
Random Family (Adrian Nicole LeBlanc)
Just Mercy (Bryan Stevenson)
We Were Once a Family (Roxanna Asgurian)
Strangers to Ourselves (Rachel Aviv)
I’d love if you could drop titles/authors and a sentence or two about the recommendation(s)! Thank you in advance
