Hey does anyone have any recommendations for books about khmer rouge/pol pot era in Cambodia? When i research, some of the top ones are first hand accounts which are interesting but I'd like to know the history behind it as well, without it being too academic/historical. I'm also interested in politics and political theory so anything with that overlap (i.e. what led to this happening?) would be great. Overall just looking for the best book on the topic out there.
