about 15 years ago, i was on a train from montreal when i found a book on my seat: clan of the cave bear. i read it and my whole world shifted – trying to imagine the lives of who lived thousands of years ago captivated me. and every spring since, for a brief moment, i can imagine our planet as it was a millennia ago. i have since read the whole earth’s children series (some of which were hit or miss including questionable character development of certain individuals). and i have been on a quest ever since to try and find a series similar – with strong female protagonists set in the (preferably paleolithic past). goodreads came up short but the closest i ever came were the sets by sue harrison and to a certain degree barbara wood. anyone have similar recommendations of anything similar?
